Social Media Policy

The Company (including Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. and Group companies; the same applies hereafter.) has stipulated the following attitude and actions to comply with in the operation of its official social media accounts.

  • 1. Definition

    Social media refers to media that uses internet and web technologies, represented by Facebook, Instagram, X, LINE, YouTube, Blog, etc., to enable the transmission of information, mainly by individuals, and the viewing of information and communication by a large number of unspecified people.

  • 2. “Awareness and Responsibility” When Transmitting Information on Social Media

    The Company’s employees (including regular employees, contract employees, temporary staff, and persons equivalent to that; the same applies hereafter.) and related parties (employees of clients and business partners that are involved in the operation of the Company’s official social media accounts, and persons equivalent to that; the same applies hereafter.) are to comply with the basic principles listed below, and act in good faith and with sincerity to gain the trust of customers when using social media as tools for communication and public relations on the internet.

    • We will make efforts to not transmit information that is incorrect or misleading, keeping in mind that information and responses via social media will have a considerable influence on the world.
    • Social media can be accessed by a large number of unspecified users, and once information is made publicly available it cannot be completely deleted. With an understanding of these points, we will comply with the relevant laws and regulations and internal company rules, and be self-aware and responsible when transmitting information.
    • We will remind ourselves of the priorities in daily operations, and first fulfill our work duties.
    • We will recognize that information is effective at the time of transmission, and that it may be changed later.
    • We will refrain from transmitting information that includes personal information. We will also take the utmost care to not act in a way that infringes the copyrights, portrait rights, good name, and other rights of third parties.
    • We will always be aware of building good relations between the Company (and its employees) and users through communication via social media, and making considerable contributions to improving the Company’s brand.
    • We will recognize that social media is a forum for dialogue between participants, and will respond in good faith and with sincerity, and with an attitude of listening closely to what the other party is saying.
    • We will clearly state the source and quoted sections when quoting from the statements and articles, etc. of third parties.
    • If we have transmitted incorrect information or made misleading statements, we will promptly apologize for and correct such information and statements.
  • 3. Statements and Requests to Customers and Users

    • All information transmitted on social media from the Company (or its employees) does not necessarily represent the official views of the Company. The Company does not guarantee the integrity, accuracy, or usability of its social media information. To find official announcements from the Company, please visit the Company's website and read news releases and other official information.
    • The Company shall not be liable for any damage, direct or indirect, that may arise due to or in connection with the use of its social media information.
    • Please note that information posted on social media is effective at the time of transmission and may be changed later.
    • Please note that there may be differences in the way of dialogue (methods of response, availability, and the time of response, etc.) through our social media accounts.
    • We do not respond to all comments or messages sent to us and posted through social media.
    • The operation of social media and accounts may be terminated or suspended without notice, and at the discretion of the Company.
    • Please refrain from performing any act or writing any post (including links to web pages and the following acts and expressions, etc.) that are listed below. Please note that we may delete content or block accounts at our discretion if they fall under any of the actions listed below. The Company assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any damage incurred by any customer that arises from such deletion or blocking.
    • Any content that is, or is likely to be, in violation of laws and regulations or contrary to public decency
    • Any content that leads, or is likely to lead, to any misconduct or criminal action
    • Any content that, in our judgment, causes, or is likely to cause, any detriment or damage to another person, such as defamation, mental abuse, intimidation, obscenity, harassment, or contempt (insult)
    • Any content intended to impersonate others or that is false, fraudulent, or misleading
    • Political, electoral, or religious activities
    • Any content that is totally irrelevant to contents from the Company’s website pages
    • Infringement of the intellectual property rights (such as any copyrights, trademark rights, and other rights), portrait rights, or privacy
    • Any content that contains harmful programs and scripts (malware, etc.)
    • Use of the Company's social media for profit purposes
    • Any content that is contrary to the terms of use of any social media platform
    • Any content that harms the reputation or credibility of the Company, other users, or third parties
    • Any content that, in our judgment, is inappropriate and may interfere with the management and operation, etc. to the Company
    • For the handling of personal information by the Company, please visit the “Privacy Policy” page.
    • Our Social Media Policy may be amended without notice, and at the discretion of the Company. Content posted prior to such amendments will also be subject to this Policy as amended.
    • We do not follow all users who follow our accounts. In addition, we may follow users who do not follow our accounts.
    • The Company assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any damage that may be incurred by any user or third party due to trouble between users or between a user and a third party arising in connection with our social media pages.
  • 4. Intellectual Property Rights

    The copyright, portrait rights, and ownership of all information posted to our official social media page shall be managed by and under the responsibility of the user who provided such information. The Company will hold the right to use such content only.
